Safety routines
Arrival and dismissal
A teacher greets each child at the door in the morning and walks them to their adult in the afternoon. Only the adults on the family's pickup list may collect a child.
Visitors
Every visitor signs in at the office and wears a badge. Parents who help in a classroom sign in the same way.
Drills
We practice fire and severe-weather drills on a calendar the head of school keeps, and we tell the children what each one is for before it starts.
Allergies
Tell us about allergies at the visit; we ask privately once you enroll. Each teacher keeps the plan for the children in her room.
Illness
A child who is unwell stays home until the next morning, and a teacher calls an adult in the family when a child feels unwell at school.
Notices in two languages
Emergency and closure notices go out in Spanish and English, by text and WhatsApp.
