How tuition works

The office gives every figure in writing at a visit, in Spanish or English.

  • What sets tuition

Tuition is set for the school year and depends on the grade your child enters and whether you use before and after care. It is paid by the year, by the term or by the month. The office gives you the school's figures at the visit.

    • Set by grade

    • Before and after care are billed apart

    • Figures given in writing at the visit

  • Registration

When you apply there is an application payment, which covers reading the application and a conversation with your child. After you accept an offer, an enrollment payment holds the place.

    • Application: when you apply

    • Enrollment: when you accept an offer

  • Holding a place

A place is held when the family signs the enrollment agreement and makes the first payment, which goes toward tuition. Families have until late March to answer an offer. If a grade is full, the office keeps a waitlist and calls families in the order they joined.

    • Waitlist by order of joining

  • Billing

You may pay by the year, by the term or by the month. The office goes over the schedule with you at enrollment and explains how each payment is made. Before and after care are billed by the month.

    • By the year, term or month

    • The office explains each way to pay

  • Financial aid is available; here is how to apply. With your application, the office gives you the aid form. A school committee reads each form and answers in the same week as admissions decisions. Ask the office about state programs for families who may qualify.

    • The aid form comes with the application

  • Siblings

Brothers and sisters are read in the same admissions season so a family hears about everyone at once.

  • Withdrawing

We ask families to tell the office in writing before the end of a term. The enrollment agreement explains how a term in progress is handled, and you may read it before you sign.
